Student Parking
25-26 Parking
Due to construction and limited space, student parking on campus is restricted. A limited number of passes are available each year and are distributed through a lottery system by grade level. Students selected in the lottery must complete the application process, including providing a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, vehicle license plate number, and payment of the parking fee, before getting a parking pass. Passes will only be issued once all ASB fines are cleared and the application process is complete.
Students not selected in the lottery may still drive to school, but they must park legally on public streets off-campus. The school is not responsible for vehicles parked off-campus. Students who park off-campus must plan accordingly, as tardies resulting from off-campus parking will not be excused. Students parking off-campus are expected to follow all parking laws and may not block driveways, fire hydrants, or park in other restricted areas.
Each student who receives a pass will be assigned a specific numbered parking space. Students may only park in their assigned space during school hours (6:50 a.m.–2:10 p.m. Monday-Friday), including on late-start days. Parking is not enforced on campus outside of these hours. Parking passes must be clearly displayed from the rearview mirror or on the dashboard. Lost passes can be replaced for a fee through the ASB office. Passes are non-transferable and may not be given, sold, or traded to another student.
Parking rules are strictly enforced. Students may not take an “empty” spot, even if the assigned student is absent. All spaces remain assigned for the year. Students who park in a spot that is not theirs will face escalating consequences:
- First offense: A $20 fine.
- Second offense: A $30 fine.
- Third offense: The vehicle may be immobilized, a vehicle boot placed on the wheel of the vehicle and a meeting will be held with student and administrator to review parking rules and expectations.
- Further offenses: The vehicle may be towed at the owner’s expense.
- Repeated violations may also result in the loss of parking privileges for the remainder of the year.
Parking spaces are numbered with chalk. Students may refresh or decorate their assigned spot with school appropriate decorations in washable chalk only; permanent paint or other markings are not allowed. Any decorations or markings that do not follow these rules will be removed at the student’s expense, and parking privileges may be revoked.
All parking assignments go through the school office. Students who attempt to trade, buy, or sell spaces outside of the official process will have their pass revoked and may lose parking privileges for the school year.

WARNING - VEHICLES SUBJECT TO SEARCH.
Any vehicle entering Hazen, connected church parking lot, or on adjacent city streets (considered an extension of the school parking lot and campus) is subject to search and seizure. Such a search may be conducted for any reasonable purpose when related to a possible school violation. The vehicle search includes all compartments and components thereof. Once a search begins, the person in control of the vehicle will not be permitted to remove it from the premises during the reasonable duration of the search.
