Highlander Day 2010 |
Welcome back Highlanders and welcome to the Class of 2014!
Tomorrow (Friday) is Spirit Day!
Hazen ASB would like to remind all of you that every Friday is Hazen’s spirit day so that means you need to come all decked out in your green, gold and blue! Let’s start the year off right and everyone dress in your school colors tomorrow! That means you staff members too!
Senior Girls/Guys Dance
Senior girls or guys interested in being part of the senior dance, please meet in the senior lounge tomorrow after school at 2:10. We need to hurry and get this planned. Please come to the meeting!
Now enrolling for Traffic Safety Classes
We are currently enrolling students for the 1st semester Traffic Safety program. Classes will be held from 8:00 am – approximately 12:00 pm on Saturdays from September 11 through January 15 at Sartori Education Center. Students 15-19 years of age may enroll. Payment of a $400 class fee is due at the time of registration. Students may pick up a registration form outside the main office on the wall or find one online in the Career and Life Skills section of the Renton School District website.
JUNIORS AND SENIORS
Are you working part-time? Then stop by the Career Center before school or at lunch and see Mrs. Buckingham to find out how you can get credit for work!
Want some awesome Homecoming Sprit Wear
Get your Homecoming T-Shirt order form at the ASB office, The Edge or the Pizza line today and Friday. Shirts have to be ordered by September 24th. For only $12.00 you can represent your school, Homecoming week and your class.
Congratulations!
Mishaal Aleem was selected on August 2 as Washington State FBLA Member of the Year. Hazen would like to congratulate her on the achievement. She also was awarded a $100.
Ignite mmntors
If you did not pick up your blue Ignite Mentor shirt yesterday please come to room 207 either during lunch or after school.
Hazen Dress Code
All new and returning students should review the Hazen Dress Code. A picture is on the main office window and in the student handbook. Girl’s shorts should be the length at your finger tips. No strapless tops or backless shirts. Guys must have shirts and shoes on at all times. With the weather being nice, it’s important that we start the year off right. Also, inappropriate sayings or pictures on your t shirts are not acceptable and you will be asked to turn it inside out or change. This would be anything that would insult or offend others.
Sports Clearing
If you still want to clear for a sport, you can do it during lunch or after school.
Hazen Football
The first football game of the year is Saturday at 1:30 at the Highline Stadium against Evergreen! Show your support to your football team and be there to cheer them on! For directions click HERE.
Do you get a ride to school?
Students are not to be dropped off or picked up in the front of the school or in the bus loading zone. Please have your parent drop you by the tennis courts and you can walk from there. It is a danger to have cars in those areas before and after school.
